Google Photos was announced at Google I/O 2015 and it has since quickly become a free application that everyone should have. The app allows you to backup your photos and videos to Google totally free of charge as long as you don’t mind a bit of compression. This is one of the few ways you can backup everything for free without using your own hard drive space. It can be set to backup during different times which is nice.
